How to use
this guide
A cleanse works best when it's more than a supplement. This guide walks through the whole process, from the days before you start to the weeks after you finish, so you know exactly what to do and what to expect.
01
A different way to see it
Parasites are normal.
Fear isn't necessary.
Humans and parasites have coexisted for as long as there have been humans. Having them isn't a sign that something is wrong with you. It's part of being a living thing in a living world.
What changed is the terrain
For most of history, a gut built on whole foods, movement, sunlight, and real rest kept things in balance. Modern life tilts that balance, creating an environment where parasites are more likely to cause problems:
- Processed sugar and refined carbs
- Chronic stress and short sleep
- Ultra-processed, low-fiber diets
- Frequent antibiotics and medications
- Less time outside, less movement
An old practice, not a new fear
Cultures around the world have used bitter herbs like wormwood, clove, black walnut, and pumpkin seed for centuries, often as a seasonal ritual, the same way people fast or change their diet with the seasons.
A cleanse isn't about panic. It's a simple, regular practice for keeping the gut in balance, and it works best alongside the basics: less sugar, more rest, and food that looks like food.
Don't fear them. Tend the terrain, and cleanse the way people always have.

Why the gut terrain matters
Parasites aren't only a travel problem. They spread through food, water, pets, soil, and close contact, and they do best in a gut that's already out of balance.
More common than most think
The CDC estimates more than 40 million people in the U.S. carry Toxoplasma gondii, and pinworm is the most common worm infection in the country. Most cases are never tested for, because the signs look like everyday gut trouble.
Common ways people pick them up
- Undercooked pork, beef, or fish (including sushi)
- Unwashed produce and untreated water
- Pets, litter boxes, and garden soil
- Travel, swimming in lakes and rivers
- Kids, daycare, and shared households
Signs people often notice
- Bloating that doesn't follow a clear pattern
- Strong sugar or carb cravings
- Fatigue that sleep doesn't fix
- Teeth grinding or restless sleep
- Itching around the rear, especially at night
- Irregular stools: loose, hard, or alternating
- Skin flare-ups, itchy skin, or rashes
These signs overlap with SIBO, candida, food sensitivities, and other conditions. A stool test from a practitioner is the only way to know for sure.
Clearing is half the job. The other half is changing the terrain, so there's nothing to come back to.
03
Straight talk
What a complete cleanse
has to do
Most cleanses only do one thing: herbs. That's why so many people feel worse in week two and quit. A complete cleanse has three jobs, running at the same time.
Why diet alone isn't enough
Food helps (see section 07). But food can't deliver concentrated herbs at a consistent daily dose, it doesn't bind, and it's hard to hit the same amounts every day for 30 days.
Why capsules, not tinctures
The herbs that work tend to be intensely bitter. Bitter enough to work usually means bitter enough that nobody keeps drinking it. Capsules make 30 days of consistency realistic.
Why a daily pack
The dose changes in the first week, and the binder has to be taken alongside the herbs. Every Herbal Cleanse pack is pre-sorted and numbered 1–30, so there's no counting and no guessing.
04
Inside the pack
14 botanicals + 1 binder
These are the most time-tested, well-studied herbs used for a parasite cleanse.
Every daily pack holds two kinds of capsule: the Cleanse Herbal Complex and an Organic Chlorella binder. Here's what each ingredient is there to do.

Getting ready
A few easy ways to prep
None of this is required. You can open your first pack the day it arrives. These are simple things we recommend that tend to make the 30 days feel smoother.
Traveling or life gets busy?
No big deal. If you miss a day, just pick up where you left off with the next numbered pack. The packs travel easily, so bringing them along works too.Household tip
Some organisms spread easily between people and pets. If others in your home have similar symptoms, they may want to cleanse too. Washing bedding and towels in hot water during week 1 and week 3 is a good habit.06
The protocol
The 30-day routine
Each pack is numbered. Take the pack that matches the day, about 10 minutes before a meal. The herbal capsules ramp up gently over the first six days, then hold steady. The binder stays at 2 capsules every day.
Cleanse Herbal Complex Chlorella binder · capsules per day, days 1–30
| Phase | Days | Herbal Complex | Binder | Focus |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Loading | 1–6 | 1 → 6 (one more each day) | 2 | Ease in, open drainage |
| Peak | 7–20 | 6 | 2 | Active cleansing |
| Renewal | 21–30 | 6 | 2 | Finish strong, start rebuilding |
How to take it
- We recommend about 10 minutes before a meal
- Any meal works. Be flexible and pick what fits your day
- Follow with a full glass of water
If you miss a day
- No big deal. Pick up where you left off with the next numbered pack
- No need to double up

Food that helps
Simple suggestions,
not a strict diet
The Herbal Cleanse does the heavy lifting. Food is a bonus: a few easy swaps can help you feel better during the 30 days, but there's no meal plan to follow.
Helpful to add
- Garlic and onions
- Leafy greens and cooked vegetables
- Fiber, like chia or ground flax
- Well-cooked eggs, fish, poultry, and meat
- Herbs and spices: oregano, thyme, ginger, clove
- Plenty of filtered water
Helpful to cut back
- Added sugar and sweets
- Alcohol
- Soda and juice
- Raw or undercooked meat and fish, including sushi
If you change one thing, make it sugar. Less sugar means less fuel for what you're clearing.
08
Daily support
Keep the exits open
Everything a cleanse releases has to leave through the bowels, kidneys, skin, and breath. When those slow down, people feel worse. These habits make the biggest difference.
Bowels: the #1 priority
Aim for one to two bowel movements daily. If you're constipated: more water, more fiber, a daily walk. Magnesium citrate at night is a common option, so ask your practitioner if it's right for you.
Water
Half your body weight (lbs) in ounces of filtered water, plus a pinch of sea salt or electrolytes if you sweat a lot.
Sweat
Sauna, a hot bath, or exercise that makes you sweat, 3 or more times a week. Shower right after.
Sleep
7–9 hours. Much of the body's repair work happens overnight, so protect your bedtime during the peak phase.
Move daily
A 20–30 minute walk after meals supports digestion and keeps things moving.
Hygiene
Wash hands before eating and after the bathroom, keep nails short, and wash bedding and towels in hot water during weeks 1 and 3.
Daily checklist
☐ Today's numbered pack, 10 min before a meal ☐ Water target ☐ Bowel movement ☐ Walk ☐ 7+ hours of sleep09
The honest part
What to expect, week by week
How much you feel tends to reflect how much your body has to clear. Some people notice symptoms during the cleanse, and some notice nothing at all. Both are normal.

- Drink more water and make sure you're going to the bathroom daily
- Rest, sweat, and go easy on workouts

Day 31 and beyond
Clear, then repair.
Finishing a cleanse is the perfect time to repair and reseed the gut, so it's set up to run at its best.
Herbal Cleanse Formula
Gut Lining Reset
Why the Gut Lining Reset comes next
It isn't required, but we recommend it after the Herbal Cleanse Formula. It combines the most well-studied supplements for repairing the GI tract in one daily pack: L-glutamine, quercetin, triphala, a soothing aloe, marshmallow root and slippery elm trio, and a 10-strain probiotic to reseed.
How long
We recommend 1–3 months after the cleanse. Some people like it so much they keep it as part of their daily gut health routine.
Keep the habits
- Keep sugar low
- Add fermented foods most days
- Cook meat and fish well
- Repeat the cleanse every 6 months
Still bloated 30–60 min after meals?
That pattern often points to SIBO. The Microbiome Balance Formula and the SIBO Reset Guide are built for it.
